Professional Level Technician Certifications

Certification is an aid in identifying the scope and level of a technician's competency. HVAC Excellence offers progressive levels of certification that identify knowledge and skill levels of individual's through each phase of their career.

Professional Level Certifications are earned by passing both prerequisite and closed-book comprehensive exams. Each certification measures level of knowledge possessed by field personnel.

Prerequisite: 2 years of verified field experience and a passing grade on the Core Exam.

  • Residential & Light Commercial Hydronic Heat
  • Persons who have passed the Employment Ready Certifications for Electrical and Air Conditioning, and have two or more years of documented field experience will not be require to take the Professional Level Core Exam.

Persons who successfully pass these exams are awarded a certificate of achievement and a truck decal.

Comparative Analysis Reports

Proctors can log in to review candidate test results and access detailed statistical reports.

These reports help instructors pinpoint strengths and weaknesses in their instruction.

Additionally, these reports aid the program in documentation for Perkins compliance.

The top of the report provides information on how the class did on the exam. The bottom of the report shows how others did nationally on the same exam.
