The Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement
Act of 2006 (Perkins IV) requires
Documentation of Competency (Student
attainment of an industry-recognized credential).
HVAC Excellence offers three assessment programs, two for
secondary and one for post secondary.
The exams are based, in part, on the “National Skills
Standards”. The comparative analysis reports, aids
in fulfilling the performance indicators for "No Child Left
Behind" & “Carl D Perkins Act” Federal legislation.

These certifications provide post secondary students and new
technicians with tangible evidence of accomplishment and
instructors with tools to improve learning. Instructors can
access an online comparative analysis, which allows them to
evaluate the effectiveness of their program.
This certification helps identify individuals who have
successfully attained the knowledge necessary to enter the
HVACR workforce.
