Bruce Pritchard Certified Master HVACR Educator
HVAC Excellence is pleased announce that the title of Certified Master HVACR Educator (CMHE) has been conferred upon Mr. Bruce Pritchard of Charter College Pasco, WA.
Mr. Pritchard has over a quarter of a century in the HVACR industry having worked in various facets of the field including: residential, light commercial, heavy commercial refrigeration, controls engineering, and project management. He currently spends his days giving back to the industry that treated him so well by preparing the next generation of HVACR service technician as an instructor for Charter College in Pasco, WA.
In the role of HVACR instructor, he knows that the success of his students is dependent upon the quality of education he provides them.
Technicians with several years of experience in the HVACR field can take a variety of topical technician certifications from a number of organizations. However, when a seasoned professional elects to transition into the world of education, they are expected to have a better understanding of the technologies and the theory that supports them than a technician in the field or the students they will serve.
To verify the depth of an instructor's knowledge and ability to relate the subject matter effectively, HVACR educators take Certified Subject Matter Educator (CSME) exams developed by HVAC Excellence.
CMSE is conferred upon those who have met their State's requirements for instructors and the standards of competency in a specific subject (e.g. Certified Heat Pump Educator).
In order to have the title of Certified Master HVACR Educator (CMHE) conferred upon them, an instructor needs to successfully pass the following CSME exams: electrical, air conditioning, light commercial air conditioning, light commercial refrigeration, electric heat and either gas heat, oil heat or heat pumps. Additionally, an instructor must pass the Capstone exam which covers technical education methodologies, principles, and practices, which attest to their pedagogical skills.
Bruce Pritchard, Certified Master HVACR Educator (CMHE) has achieved the highest credential that can be conferred by HVAC Excellence upon an HVACR educator. Having this title bestowed upon him is a great accomplishment and helps his students know that their career is on the right path as quality training begins with a great instructor.
