National HVAC Educator's And Trainers Conference Session:Performance TestingPerformance testing is considered to be the “other” evaluation system. More costly and more time consuming, performance testing is more valuable than written testing. Written testing alone will not reveal the skill and how skills are used, understood, and applied. Good cognitive development without excellent hands-on skills will not serve the graduate of any HVAC program. A combination of written and performance assessment will round-out an evaluation system. This session will provide information on HVAC Excellence performance testing; how other credentialing programs use performance assessment; and how performance assessment can be established in HVAC programs.
